A CRASH and A FIRE

07/06/2026- 1321 hours: Unit responded to Interstate 81 southbound at mile marker .5 for a vehicle accident reported as several tractor-trailers and an auto. Crews arrived to a single semi and and SUV blocking the passing lane, established traffic control and assisted EMS with patient movement. Washington County responders confirmed no additional vehicles south of the initial scene. Ambulance 3-9 transported one to Meritus Medical Center and the roadway was cleared in about thirty minutes.

07/04/2026- 1832 hours: Box 3-13A sounded for a reported barn on fire at The Mulch Bin, 1070 Milnor Road West. Arriving units were directed to 928 Milnor, encountered flames from an outside storage building on the farm and placed hand lines in service to quickly knock down the fire. Personnel checked for extension and hot spots before clearing in about thirty minutes.
