PASSING OF RAY W. MOWEN SR.
11/22/2025: We learned of the passing earlier today (0143 hours) of long-time member Ray W. Mowen, Sr. He held many positions at RHC during his long tenure, including: Vice-President, Engineer, Recording Secretary, President, Trustee, Parliamentarian, and Apparatus Operator. Probably best known as our Historian, his vision, willingness to research, dig through and catalog department history allowed us to build the Museum that bears his name. JUST ANOTHER TUESDAY.. OR NOT
11/18/2025: By the time Wednesday morning rolled around, fire and EMS crews responded to twenty calls for service- with automatic aid departments handling another handful of medical and rescue emergencies while our units were committed. SHED FIRE and CRASH
11/17/2025- 1617 hours: Company 3 and Engine 13-2 responded to the area of Mason Dixon and South Young Road for a personal injury collision- locating the two vehicles at the Mason Dixon/Exit 1 southbound interchange. 11/14/2025- 2241 hours: Engine 3-2 and Engine Tanker 3 alerted for a garage fire to the rear of 14109 Buchanan Trail West, Peters Township. 11/11/2025- 0940 hours: Units alerted for a small fire along the roadway in the area of 2342 Buchanan Trail West. Investigation revealed fire in stacks of trees and mulch, met with the owner who handled the extended extinguishment operation. 11/07/2025- 2243 hours: Company 3 and 8 responded for a vehicle collision on Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 7.5, arriving to one auto into the guardrail. THANK YOU VETERANS
11/11/2025: Today we show our appreciation and say THANKS to all those that served or are serving in our nation's military. Beginning as Armistice Day in 1919 to commemorate the end of World War I and the veterans of that war, after World War II it was expanded to include all American veterans. Renamed Veterans Day by President Eisenhower in 1954, the date- November 11th- marks the end of World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.
