Crews arrived to a single vehicle in the median after striking the cable barrier, all occupants out and refusing any services. 07/10/2026: Sidewalk Sales Days kicked off this morning, with several downtown streets closed. These include West Baltimore east from Antrim Way, East Baltimore east to Washington, North Carlisle south at Truist Bank and South Carlisle from Franklin Street to the Square. 07/03/2026: With Fourth of July travel well underway, we remind everyone of the "Move Over, Slow Down" law in Pennsylvania. Our agency frequently works incidents on Interstate 81 and other high volume roadways. Many times, traffic refuses to move over or slow down. 06/25/2026- 1506 hours: Company 3, Washington County Company 13 and EMS units from Company 8 and WC 75 alerted for a single vehicle collision on Interstate 81 southbound in the area of mile marker 3. Arriving to an SUV on the shoulder after striking a portable construction sign board and guardrail, personnel secured the roadway and assisted EMS with occupant removal and packaging for transport to Meritus Medical Center. 06/20/2026- 0943 hours: Box 3-04 alerted for a house on fire- 28 West Dahlgren Street in Greencastle. Arriving units had an exterior fire with extension to the building, contained the fire, overhauled and checked for additional extension, then ventilated as needed- clearing in forty minutes.

06/19/2026- 1951 hours: Company 3 responded to 2816 State Line Road for a vehicle on fire in a field. 06/15/2026- 2127 hours: Company 3 and Washington County 13 alerted for a vehicle accident on Mason Dixon Road at Maugansville Road. First arriving units confirmed a tractor-trailer and auto involved, blocking the intersection with one entrapment. 06/12/2026: In what will surely be remembered as a classic, the Greencastle-Antrim baseball team staged multiple comebacks to win the 5A State Championship tonight. It took 14 innings but the Blue Devils clinched their first crown by defeating Dubois 6-5. CONGRATULATIONS to all involved- players, coaches, staff and families.

05/17/2026: Today kicks off Emergency Medical Services Week (May 17-23) and Greencastle Mayor Ben Thomas stopped at the station to deliver the Borough's Proclamation. While mentioning the services provided by First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Telecommunicators and many others, the announcement highlights the appropriateness of recognizing the value and accomplishments of all emergency medical providers and the essential services they provide. 20

05/02/2026: This weekend is the Fallen Firefighter Memorial held at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation-led program will honor 204 firefighters (97 from 2025 and 107 from previous years), recognize their sacrifice and support the families and friends left behind. 04/25/2026: This Saturday will be the lastest Honor Flight return to Greencastle from their day in Washington, DC. 04/17/2026- 1207 hours: Box 3-09 alerted for a lawn tractor on fire- impinging on a house at 11208 Worleytown Road. Crews extinguished the fully-involved tractor while checking for extension in the near-by garage.
