09/18/2026: The Rescue Hose Company No. 1 of Greencastle, PA- through the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors- has been awarded a $250,000.00 grant through Pennsylvania's statewide Local Share Account (LSA) program. LSA funding consists of gaming revenue collected by the Commonwealth from casinos and related gaming activity. This award will help fund the purchase of a new fire engine expected to cost $1.1 million, with delivery anticipated in 2027.

This new engine will replace an existing unit that will be 27 years old when its replacement arrives.

The grant was made possible through a collaborative effort, with THANKS to the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors, PA State Representative Chad Reichard and State Senator Doug Mastriano. Their efforts and support helped to secure this important funding.

Rescue Hose Company actively pursues available grant opportunities to help manage the escalating cost of operating a volunteer public safety agency. Such funding allows the company to maintain and replace critical apparatus and equipment while helping contain costs for the community.
