AFAs, MVAs, AUTO and WIRES

09/26/2023- 0845 hours: Company 3 to 200 Commerce Avenue, Food Lion Distribution Center for an automatic fire alarm. No services needed- testing without notification.

09/26/2023- 1327 hours: The Tuesday downtown quiet was disrupted by an auto fire in the unit block of East Baltimore Street, with crews arriving to flames from the engine compartment of a mini-van. Following a quick knockdown and overhaul, units cleared in twenty minutes.

09/26/2023- 1713 hours: RHC responded to Food Lion Distribution, 200 Commerce Avenue for an automatic fire alarm. Personnel met with Security who reported system testing caused the activation.

09/27/2023- 1314 hours: Company 3 to the area of 3783 Buchanan Trail West, Antrim Township for wires down. Arriving to an energized residential electric service line across all travel lanes (which didn't deter several motorists from driving across the arcing wire), personnel secured the scene, provided information for the utility and established detours around the area. West Penn Power secured the service, cleared the roadway and normal traffic resumed in thirty-five minutes.

09/28/2023- 1851 hours: Squad 3, Car 3 and Ambulance 3-9 responded for a reported pedestrian accident near 7711 Molly Pitcher Highway South. With conditions updated to a vehicle versus bicyclist, crews arrived to the incident on the southbound shoulder, Fire Police set-up traffic control and all cleared when EMS departed for Chambersburg Hospital- about twenty minutes.
