07/18/2023: The week has been busy so far for Rescue Hose Company, with responses and apparatus maintenance:

07/17/2023- 0800 hours: Rice Tire technicians arrived in station to put new shoes on the 1930 Seagrave. Taking most of the day- on a STEAMY hot Monday- we appreciate their service.

07/17/2023- 0819 hours: Crews responded to the area of 1311 Williamson Road, Antrim Township for a vehicle accident reported with entrapment and arrived to a passenger vehicle and building material delivery vehicle involved. EMS transported on operator while Squad 3 and Fire Police supported scene operations for about 3.5 hours.

07/17/2023- 1136 hours: Squad 3 and Engine 3-1 to Interstate 81 northbound at Exit 10 in Washington County, MD to assist their units with a personal injury collision. After securing the northbound ramps, Squad 3 provided absorbent for fluids mitigation from the overturned dump truck, then cleared.

07/17/2023- 1728 hours: Engine 3-2 alerted for an automatic commercial fire alarm at 125 South Antrim Way, finding no hazards or cause for the activation.

07/17/2023- 1844 hours: Squad 3 responded to 14 Mount Vernon Terrace, Waynesboro to assist Company 2 with smoke in the apartment building. First arriving units confirmed food on the stove with a smoke condition requiring ventilation and scaled back the apparatus- placing Squad 3 available.

07/18/2023- 0234 hours: Engine 3-2 and Engine Tanker 3 to 12386 Mercersburg Road, Montgomery Township for a building fire impinging on a business- assisting Company 9 (Mercersburg). Crews worked fire attack and overhaul before clearing in about two hours.

07/18/2023- 0840 hours: Engine 3-2 responded for a fire alarm- 300 South Ridge Avenue, Greencastle-Antrim High School and confirmed system maintenance caused the activation requiring no fire department services.
