CLOSING OUT MARCH WITH CRASHES AND FIRES

03/30/2026- 1553 hours: Company 3 responded to 11104 Grindstone Hill Road, Sheetz for an auto on fire at the fuel island. Passers-by used portable extinguishers to put out the small engine compartment fire before FD arrival. Engine 3-1 checked and wet down the adjacent area and moved the car away from the pumps.

03/27/2026- 1918 hours: RHC to the State Line and Hollowell Church Roads intersection for a vehicle accident. Arriving to two autos off the roadway, Squad crew secured hazards and assisted EMS with occupant removal. Fire Police maintained scene control until the damaged cars were removed.

03/25/2026- 1536 hours: Squad 3 assisted Company 9 (Mercersburg) with a shed on fire at 14273 Dutchtown Road, Peters Township. Personnel worked overhaul before clearing in sixty five minutes.

03/22/2026- 1344 hours: Company 3 and Washington County 13 alerted for a personal injury collision on Interstate 81 northbound in the area of mile marker 1.5. Arriving to one auto in the passing lane and another on the right shoulder, crews secured the highway, checked for hazards, assisted EMS and clearing fluids/debris. Four occupants were transported while Fire Police routed traffic through the Welcome Center for one hour until the roadway was cleared.
