COUPLE OF SPRING CRASHES

04/10/2026- 1628 hours: Units were alerted for a pedestrian accident in front of 26 East Baltimore Street, Downtown. EMS checked out one scooter rider before clearing.

04/10/2026- 0728 hours: Companies 3 and 8 responded to Interstate 81 southbound at Exit 5 for a personal injury accident involving two tractor-trailers. After negotiating the heavy backlog caused by the semis blocking the travel lanes, personnel set-up traffic control, and confirmed no injuries. After handling fluids/debris, the scene was turned over to Pennsylvania State Police, PennDOT and Fire Police.

04/09/2026- 1213 hours: RHC alerted to the Buchanan Trail East and Waynecastle Road intersection for a multi-vehicle collision, arriving to three vehicles- two still in the roadway. Crews secured the scene, assisted with medical needs and cleared fluids/debris before returning. EMS transported two occupants with the vehicles removed in forty-five minutes.
