12/11/2023- 1441 hours: Engine 3-1 responded to the area of 14700 Ridge Road for a tree down on wires. Finding a tree/communication lines restricting traffic, crew worked with West Penn Power to remove the tree and restore normal travel.
12/11/2023- 1557 hours: Responding to 51 Hearthside Lane for wires down, units found a tractor trailer covered in electric/communication wires, damage to multiple poles and other lines in the area. Working with Greencastle Police, the area was secured until West Penn Power rendered the downed lines safe and then Baumgardner Drive was barricaded for the utility to begin reconstruction. Working through the night, the majority of customers regained service by around 0800 hours the following day.
