04/04/2022- 0406 hours: RHC and Washington County Company 13 responded to southbound Interstate 81 near mile marker 3 for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Units arrived to a passenger car on its roof blocking the slow lane at the Molly Pitcher Highway overpass and a pick-up on the shoulder at the Exit 3 on-ramp. After securing the roadway, crews gained access to the auto's interior via hydraulic tools and assisted EMS with occupant removal. Fluids and debris were mitigated and one lane re-opened after the ambulance departed for Meritus Medical Center. Apparatus returned to service after eighty minutes when the roadway was cleared
