JUST ANOTHER TUESDAY.. OR NOT

11/18/2025: By the time Wednesday morning rolled around, fire and EMS crews responded to twenty calls for service- with automatic aid departments handling another handful of medical and rescue emergencies while our units were committed. THANKS for all the agencies that responded or handled incidents while our crews were engaged. Calls included:

1821 hours: Company 3 alerted for an outside smoke investigation in the area of Buchanan Trail West and Rabbit Road. While responding, Communications advised multiple additional calls reporting a building on fire and the assignment was upgraded. Engine 3-2 confirmed heavy fire from a commercial building at 3865 Buchanan Trail West (Rockwell Lumber) and began suppression operations. Twenty-one units operated on the fireground for 3.5 hours before returning to service.

1644 hours: RHC to Buchanan Trail West at Rabbit Road for a personal injury collision. Units cleared after checking for hazards with Fire Police assisting to assist Pennsylvania State Police and Ambulance 9-7 transporting one occupant to Meritus Medical Center.

0443 hours: Engine Tanker 3 and Squad 3 assisted Washington County Company 4 (Clear Spring) with a dwelling fire at 13811 National Pike, working for 3.5 hours before returning.
