JUST IN CASE

01/24/2026: With cold temperatures already here and Fern promising to coat our area in snow and ice later tonight, we partnered with our municipal Emergency Managers to offer a place to shelter for those who may need it. If you lose power or heat, the fire station- 842 South Washington Street- will be available to get warm, charge your devices and dodge the weather beginning at 0600 hours Sunday, 01/25/26. While uncertain how long the storm or this service may last, there is no charge and- to quote a well-known chain- "we'll leave the light on for you".
