RESPECT AND HONOR

05/02/2026: This weekend is the Fallen Firefighter Memorial held at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation-led program will honor 204 firefighters (97 from 2025 and 107 from previous years), recognize their sacrifice and support the families and friends left behind. Candlelight Service is 05/02 at 1930 hours, the Memorial at 1000 hours on Sunday, May 3 and both may be streamed live through the www.firehero.org website.

Fire Stations and other buildings will be illuminated in red, communities will sound sirens and ring bells, and United States flags have been ordered to half-staff on Sunday. Please take a few minutes this weekend to remember these heroes.
