09/14/2022: Our department was notified that we were awarded a Federal Emergency Management 2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $241,880.00 for Operations/Safety. This funding will assist in replacing self-contained breathing apparatus- equipment that allows members to operate more safely in hazardous environments- that is reaching its end of service life.
The primary goal of the competitive program is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service organizations. Since 2001, AFG has helped firefighters and other first responders obtain critically need ed equipment for protecting the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.
