THAT'S A WRAP.. SEPTEMBER

RHC closed out another sixty-plus fire and rescue call month. Here are some of the end-of-month events:

09/17/2024- 1131 hours: Box 3-13A alerted for an appliance fire at 1137 Jason Drive, Antrim Township. Units arrived to the appliance removed from the dwelling and a light smoke condition inside the house. Engine 3-2's crew assisted with ventilation, clearing in ten minutes.

09/17/2024- 1621 hours: RHC to the area of 48 South Antrim Way for an auto accident, arriving to two vehicles blocking the southbound lanes. Personnel established traffic control, provided first aid and helped package two patients for transport and checked for hazards. Squad 3 returned to service in twenty-five minutes and Fire Police remaining until 1731 hours.

09/17/2024- 2159 hours: Company 3 responded for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Hollowell Church and State Line Roads. With one auto in the roadway and a pick-up in the yard of a residence, crews mitigated fluids and confirmed no occupants required transport. Squad 3 and Fire Police remained for traffic direction and clean-up, clearing at 2307 hours.

09/19/2024- 1549 hours: RHC and Washington County Company 13 alerted for a vehicle accident on Interstate 81 southbound near mile marker 3. Arriving to an auto in the median and tractor-trailer on the shoulder, personnel secured the travel lanes and assisted EMS. Ambulance 3-8 and WC PM75-9 each transported one patient to Meritus Medical Center. With the lanes re-opened, apparatus cleared but Fire Police and Pennsylvania State Police remained for traffic control until the vehicles were removed.

09/21/2024- 2054 hours: Units responded to the 700 block of East Baltimore Street for a personal injury collision, arriving to two eastbound vehicles involved- one blocking the intersection of Buchanan Trail and Interstate 81's southbound on-ramp. With no occupants requesting transport, the scene was turned over to Fire Police following fluid mitigation and debris collection.

09/23/2024- 1645 hours: RHC alerted for a vehicle accident- intersection of Molly Pitcher Highway South and Hykes Road. Responders arrived to two vehicles blocking the entrance to Cedarbrook development, checked hazards and cleared auto debris from the roadway. Fire Police handled traffic control, remaining until the lanes were cleared at 1804 hours.
