09/07/2024- 0830 hours: This Saturday, come join your first responders and Greencastle Mayor Ben Thomas for a walk from Eastern Avenue (near John L. Grove Medical Center) down East Baltimore Street to Center Square. As part of the "Weekend of Unity", personnel will then continue to Borough Hall and the Veterans Memorial for a moment of silence and remembrance.
This route simulates the 110 floors- 2,071 steps- of the World Trade Center that firefighters, EMS, police officers, civilians and others climbed and descended on September 11, 2001.
At 1400 hours (2:00 pm), a live bluegrass concert- featuring D&S Bluegrass- will be held at the RHC fire station at 842 South Washington Street.
