07/26/2025- 2307 hours: With Squad 3 headed to St. Thomas Township for a house reportedly struck by lightning, heavy rain caused the South Antrim Way railroad underpass to flood and trap vehicles in the high water. Traffic control points were established in each direction and contact made with the occupants to check their condition. Greencastle Police notified the towing service for removal and- after about sixty minutes- the water receded, the roadway cleared and units went available. PennDOT also assisted on scene.
07/26/2025- 1841 hours: Engine 3-2 and Engine Tanker 3 to Peters Township- 2685 McDowell Road- for a house fire with Company 9 (Mercersburg). Assigned to the second floor, crews opened several areas to check for extension, extinguish hot spots and ventilate. RHC returned to service after seventy minutes.
07/26-2025- 1407 hours: Company 3 and 8 responded to Interstate 81 southbound at mile marker 5 for a vehicle fire. Personnel secured the travel lanes and extinguished the well-involved auto before turning the scene over to Pennsylvania State Police in about thirty minutes.
07/26/2025- 1330 hours: Crews supported Family Day at the Walmart Fulfillment Center on Ebberts Spring Court, providing fire safety materials and vehicle displays for the employees, contractors and their families.
07/26/2025- 0900 hours: Personnel reinforced their knowledge and skills during annual proficiency evolutions at the fire station. Multiple teams worked through Engine and water supply operations to ensure familiarity and competencies.
