06/25/2025- 2058 hours: Crews were alerted for a water rescue in the area of Martins Mill Covered Bridge, 3505 East Weaver Road with Franklin County reporting a vehicle "stuck in the water in the woods" with four occupants inside. Challenges with communication including poor wireless reception, low battery and an inability to map the caller location led to some situational confusion as resources deployed at multiple locations along the Conococheague Creek. Using the MMB Park as the main staging area, three boats and an additional Rescue Squad from Washington County, MD were requested.

At approximately 2155 hours, crews made verbal contact with the individuals north of the Park near Conococheague Lane but could not access them from the shore line. With the location known, WC Boat 20-10 launched and retrieved those stranded, returning them to the Staging Area at 2206 hours. There were no vehicles in the water and- with all the rescued refusing transport- the last unit cleared at 2230 hours.
