COUPLE COLLISIONS AND A VEHICLE FIRE

07/31/2025- 1526 hours: RHC to Ridge and McDowell Roads for a vehicle accident, Communications updating conditions to two vehicles with reports of one auto into the residence there during response. Crews arrived and confirmed conditions, secured the vehicles, checked the damage to the house and provided traffic control. Ambulance 3-7 transported to Meritus Medical Center and Ambulance 2-8 obtained refusals from other occupants. Scene was turned over to Fire Police and PSP after forty minutes.

07/29/2025- 1945 hours: Engine 3-2 responded for a fire in a "bike battery on fire", arriving to a malfunctioning lithium ion battery on a motorcycle along the roadway. Passers-by extinguished the fire and Franklin County HAZMAT personnel secured the battery while crews stood-by.

07/28/2025- 0723 hours: Company 3 and Washington County 13 to the intersection of Mason Dixon Road and Citicorp Drive for a personal injury collision. Arriving to two vehicles and large debris field/fluid spill across the roadway, crews worked with EMS and mitigated hazards while Washington County Sheriff Deputies assisted with traffic control. One occupant was taken to Hagerstown Regional Airport for transfer to LifeNet 8-1, one refused treatment and another was transported to Meritus Medical Center. Scene was turned over to Pennsylvania State Police and PennDOT as units cleared in seventy minutes.
