10/09/2022: This weekend is the 2022 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, MD. Families and friends gather to remember those 148 heroes who died in 2021, offering support to those left behind last year and in previous ones. Family night starts the list of events, a Candlelight service is held Saturday evening with the Memorial Service beginning at 1000 hours on Sunday. Landmarks, public buildings, homes and fire stations are illuminated in red to honor and remember the sacrifice of America's fallen fire heroes as part of "Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters". We continue to remember our fallen brothers and sisters every day.
