While we have seen most of the possible variations from the weather already this month, one consistent is the calls keep coming:
03/07/25- 1237 hours: Engine Tanker 3 responded to assist Washington County Company 4 (Clear Spring) and multiple other agencies with an outside fire involving several sheds. Crews worked for several hours- clearing at 1613 hours.
03/07/25- 0833 hours: Engine 3-2 and Engine Tanker 3 to 10849 Burkett Road, Montgomery Township to assist Company 9 (Mercersburg) on a dwelling fire. Crews checked for interior extension and performed overhaul before clearing in about thirty minutes.
03/06/25- 0405 hours: Following-up on a report of an outside fire, the assignment was upgraded when first arriving units located a well-involved large poultry production facility at 4378 Lighthouse Road, Guilford Township. Units worked water supply and extinguishment for 3.5 hours before clearing.
03/04/25- 1755 hours: RHC to the area of 9926 Grindstone Hill Road for an outside fire. Due to high winds and flying embers, crews put out the fire in a large pile of cleared trees and brush.
03/04/25- Squad 3 to the Lemar and Renninger Roads intersection to assist Company 9 with a vehicle accident reported with entrapment. Crews removed doors and performed a dash roll to permit occupant access and packaging, clearing in thirty minutes.
03/03/25- 1454 hours: Personnel responded to 10331 Little Cove Road in Warren Township for a dwelling fire (Box 9-05). Engine Tanker 3 was placed in service before arrival, Squad 3 staged and assisted getting other units back in service, clearing in 1.75 hours.
03/03/25- 0836 hours: Companies 3 and 9, Washington Quint 27 to 9628 Rabbit Road South for a chimney fire. Crews confirmed fire in the chimney- no extension and worked for 1.5 hours to clear hot spots.
03/01/25- 1521 hours: RHC to Ridge and Leitersburg Roads for a personal injury collision, arriving to two autos- one off the road and the other blocking a portion of southbound Ridge. Personnel mitigated hazards and EMS obtained transport refusals before clearing in thirty minutes.
03/01/25- 1145 hours: Box 3-04 responded for fire reported to the rear of a multi-family dwelling- 375 South Washington Street. Engine 3-1 confirmed a smoldering fire under the rear deck and extinguished.
