JUST A FRIDAY..

12/09/2022: Crews traveled and worked a variety of call types today, including:

0349 hours: Engine 3-1 responded to Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 6.5 to assist EMS with blocking;

1716 hours: Engine 3-1 and crew transferred to Washington County Company 4 (Clear Spring) to cover their area until 1800 hours Saturday;

1730 hours: Crews participated in Greencastle's Heritage Christmas- offering fire safety handouts and giveaways to attendees (and hung out with THE red suited one);

1935 hours: Box 3-27 alerted for a barn on fire- 1059 Leitersburg Road. Responders located a supervised burn at 641 Leitersburg and returned units;

2254 hours: Company 3 responded for a vehicle fire in the area of 766 Leitersburg Road, arriving to a well-involved pick-up off the roadway (after being involved in an accident). EMS transported one occupant to Meritus Medical Center. Crews extinguished the flames and then mitigated fluids/fuel when the truck was removed;

2254 hours: RHC responded for a single vehicle accident- car into a utility pole- in front of 119 East Franklin Street. Personnel checked for hazards and assisted Greencastle Police with no EMS or fire services required.
