STORMY WEATHER- AGAIN

07/16/2025: Another Summer storm passed through the area resulting in multiple calls for service including:

1750 hours: Personnel investigated a wire down to the rear of 119 South Ridge Avenue and confirmed no hazard before clearing.

1714 hours: Carbon monoxide alarm activation at 1985 Castlegreen Drive. Crew metered the residence with no cause found.

1636 hours: Wires in the roadway in the area of Statler and Stone Bridge Roads, confirming communications line posing no hazard.

1624 hours: Box 3-10 alerted for an appliance fire- 45 Antrim Commons Drive at Sheetz. Crews investigated and located a malfunction in a roof mounted HVAC unit, then worked with building maintenance to access and secure the equipment before clearing.

1552 hours: Flooding in the area of 429 East Baltimore Street with units arriving to high water in the roadway impacting traffic. Units staged and worked traffic control until water receded.

1546 hours: 46 East Franklin Street for downed wires. Crew checked and confirmed no hazards before returning to service.

1535 hours: 15 Center Square for a tree down on wires. Personnel confirmed electric and communications service wires down, secured the area with Greencastle Police and provided utility information for repair notification.
